Prayer for the victims of Glorietta Blast

My deepest sympathy to the victims of the Glorietta 2 bombing yesterday, 19 October. According to lates news, the fatalities already climbed to 11, including a pregnant woman and a seaman who was supposedly leaving on the 20th.

Almost instantly, fellow pinoy bloggers have recounted their experiences. Blogger “Disney” was able to capture the happenings thru his digicam and immediately uploaded them in his Multiply site, the Inquirer even used one of his snapshots in the headlines. Seeing those pics, I really couldn’t believe the blast happened, it’s like surreal. Manuel L. Quezon III had posted in his site excerpts and links to other bloggers’ witness account of the incident.

Truly, we should always be grateful everyday for the chance God gives us to live each day. I wish to offer the following prayer not just to all the victims of the Glorietta 2 bombing but also to those who are affected by this evil act:

Dear Lord,

We pray that you comfort all those who are hurting
Walk with them and embrace them
Make them braver and feel secure
And protect them with your love.

Hold the hands of those who lost life
As they journey to your Kingdom
Shine your light upon them
Warm their souls into your merciful arms.

Give solace to those who were left behind
Comfort their families thru the pain
Carry them through their grief
Encircle them with the blessing of your love.

Bless, too, those loving hands
Who extend their help
Making them instruments
As your protecting wings.

Lastly, open the eyes of those
Who have committed this act to see
This is not the way to claim their rights
But use peaceful ways to seek their due.

Let us pray for solitude dear friends during these times of trouble.

For that person who intentionally used the names Kay & Loves thank for visiting this site but I refuse to publish your comments. You should’ve not bothered entering different hoax names and email address coz I know you’re only one person because the comments came from only 1 IP address.

First, the Glorietta bombing is not a joke, many people died out there and hurt hundreds. And for you to wish that I should’ve been included in that tragedy is not a good joke either. You may laugh your heart out, but be careful on lashing out any ill wish to anybody, it might backfire on you.

Second, for you to insult me, I have to value first your opinion. Yes, life is unfair, even your being prejudice is unfair. And I don’t need to explain that further. Just because I chose to stay home with the kids made my life a bed of roses. With all the household chores to deal with and no help, plus taking care of 3 young kids, I wish you could be in my position for even a day and give me my well deserved holiday, so that you experience the sacrifices and unappreciated efforts of all the stay-at-home mothers out there.

We are all in various situations, we all make mistakes and we have different problems. How we deal with these life struggles would make the BIG difference. I have put this website to bring out the best, not just in me, but hopefully to other people in spite of all the situations we’re all in. Life would be beautiful and worth living for, if our hearts would believe that way.

I wish to impart you all with a quote from Charlotte Bronte:

“Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilized by education; they grow there, firm as weeds among rocks.”
