Never, never quit 2

Never give up Peanuts

I cut into two the original Never, never quit blog because I thought it’s becoming too long. Anyways, along side the “Never give up” phrase on my bedwall during college, I also posted the Don’t Quit poem. Some sources say this was written anonymously, but there were some debates who was the real poet behind this magnificent piece. Whoever. What’s more important is that this great poem inspired lots of people, like me! I really love this one by heart!

I think I still keep those 2 wonderful pieces of papers I used as my mantra in college. Whenever school was getting tough and there were some other personal problems, I just read those two posts and I felt relief - recharged! Maybe when God showered the world with optimism, I was out there and really got soaked! Or maybe I got it from my nanay (God bless her beautiful soul), who always managed a smile despite some problems and when life prospects seemed dim. Plus we have the same birthday so that could explain our both positive outlook in life - and the looks, hehe, I am the spitting image of my mother.

These are quote and poems are timeless motivational pieces, we surely need some dose every now and then. Life is not easy, but everything would be alright for sure, so just be patient. Ever since, I have always, always proven that cliche’. Just like the American pastor Robert Schuller said, “If God brings you to it, God will bring you through it.”

Life is full of challenges, sometimes we move out and change our course, but to achieve our life goals and purpose, we should never, ever, ever, quit!

DON’T QUIT

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

I agree - God always provides us everything we need to keep going no matter how tough it is. The only question is - are we mindful of the fact that we can overcome anything that comes our way because God wouldn’t never forsake us?
