Lord, teach us to be grateful
I attended the mass this morning, not a TV mass, but yeah, in the church. I was just supposed to do my novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help before I go to the market, but when I got inside the church, the mass was just about to start. Since I haven’t really attended a “real” mass for quite sometime now, aside from the Sunday TV mass, I decided to do the novena later and stayed. Plus, I know the officiating priest, he was a schoolmate in highschool, just a batch ahead from me. I think he was even one of my crushes in highschool before, hehe.
Anyways, the gospel is from Luke 17:11-19, which tells of the ten lepers Jesus healed but only one of them got back to Jesus to thank him. I remembered one of Father Mario Sobrejuanite’s sermon few Sundays back, where he repeatedly said that in order for us to receive more blessings, we should always learn to say ‘thank you’.
