Beauty of LIFE
Today is November 21, such a special day for two beautiful people, who interestingly share similar names. Purely coincidental? I don’t think so. I am dedicating this post to two wonderful women who are both celebrating their birthdays today, CRISTINA (Chiqui) and KRIZTIN.
First, for CHIQUI, who is one of my BFF since highschool. You can see her in my guestbook, the one eating some cherries,hehe. She’s such a bright girl, our salutatorian in highschool (kaya ko nga ginawang friend, para hiraman ng notebook!hehe) Nope, kidding aside, all I know in our barkada, which we call BEERCAN (acronyms ng names), sa kanya ako closest and pinakamadalas din makaaway! hehe. The wonder of a mortar and pestle (that’s our best away,I’ll tell the story about it next time). We first met in Grade 6 (we came from different grade schools), when we were both competing in the Philippine History Quiz Bee. It was held in our old school and we were both sitting in one desk before our contest started. I was eating some meryenda, and she’s reviewing! Tsk,tsk, who won the contest? Hehe, me! Anyways, I never thought that that contest would be a caution? Hehe, nah, it was actually a precurser of a great friendship that lasted for more than 15 years, and still counting.
As I have told her before in one of our email exchanges, I will look forward for that time when we’re already old, maputi na ang hair with all the wrinkles –at nagchichikahan pa din!hehe. Namiss ko tuloy bigla ung mga kwentuhan natin dun sa may ilog. Hay, those were the days. But this day is different, it’s your birthday! I just wanna say thanks for being there always, both in good and in bad times. Matagal ko na to di nasabi (or nasabi ko ba?) THANKS FOR BEING MY BESTFRIEND!!! Ayan, I am teary eyed na ha! Promise, in anything, kalokahan, kacheapan, okrayan and most importantly serious things, I am just here. ALWAYS. Muahhh! Happy birthday!!!
I already said my wish to you dun sa CBOX ng site natin, but I say it again here: You’re already blessed with all the best things life could bring, but the most important one is coming SOON coz he’s already looking for you.
2ND, for KRIZTIN. I really don’t know her personally,but her husband Frederick is one of the first readers and commentors here in my site, also a Bulakenyo. When I wrote about the blog Why I Love Being Married, Frederick’s comment was, “One question i couldnt answer but deep inside me i know i have the answer was “why do i love thee?” because i know that i love my wife beyond reasons, its magical, i just cant describe it but we’re very happy in our 4mos of married life!” I commented back that he’s so sweet and hoped his wife could read his comment. I also added that marriage life is no bed of roses but as long as there is true love, friendship and God in it, all woes would be easier to deal with.
Past forward 19th of November, Frederick made a comment again in my blog After the Rain, and there he said that his wife was diagnosed with cancer. When I read his comment, I was very surprised and lost for words. And you know what’s on the bible verse that day? “Remember, I am with you always.” Jesus (Matt.28-16:20). Comforting words I used to replied back. God’s right timing.
I had this idea running through my head since he made that comment. Prayer is a powerful instrument specially in the most difficult times. So I thought I would make a Prayer Page for her. I emailed Frederick this morning and asked his wife’s name because he never mentioned her name in any of his comments. So when he emailed back this afternoon, that’s when I learned that today is Kriztin’s fifth chemo and also her birthday!
We all know or heard about how hard it is for patients undergoing chemo, right? And for sure it’s so hard to be strong physically, emotionally and spiritually. But I salute Frederick and Kriztin for battling the sickness with such strong faith and positive attitude! I would put up a prayer page for Kriztin soon, so please dear friends let us offer some prayers for her. Nothing is impossible with God - nothing.
Two amazing women are celebrating their birthdays today. CRISTINA and KRIZTIN — life is beautiful, and so are they, because both of them have beautiful hearts and souls. True beauty inside and out. Again, happy birthday to both of you!

hi, paz! I know the couple would be happy for all the prayers. That’s the best we can do for them.
Regarding the sizing, just drag down the corners of the pics until the pic reached ur desired size, similar to resizing pics in word docs. Sounds too technical sometimes but when u got the hang of it that’s easy for u. Like for me before.

Hey! That’s sooo sweet of you! Thank you sooo much. You made me reminisce what we’ve been through, hahaha!! esp the classic mortar and pestle fight - really unforgettable.
And to Kriztin, you are so lucky to have Frederick as your partner. It must be a difficult time for both of you but always pray for a faithful heart. I hope you had a great birthday!!

very touching! after 5th day of chemo, nov 21, 2007 which was her bday as well my wife told me she want to celebrate her bday at Phil Gen Hospital, in the ob-chemo section. So we ask someone to do the cooking and the food preparation and carried the foods at the hospital last thu, 22nd of nov. like in the movie patch adams, “dont focus on the problem…” so we wanna help and bless other too and we wanna share to them that no matter what’s goin on in our lives, we can still help and inspire other people, share some hope and love! again, thank you guys!

Life is indeed beautiful - because it’s a fairy tale written by God. It is difficult sometimes to see the beauty we live in when our judgment is clouded by a lot of hardships. And to me, each birthday is special because I believe that we made that choice particularly to be born that day.

Life is indeed beautiful - because it’s a fairy tale written by God. It is difficult sometimes to see the beauty we live in when our judgment is clouded by a lot of hardships. And to me, each birthday is special because I believe that we made that choice particularly to be born that day.
