Earthquake, earthquake!
As I was writing this post, series of earthquakes had been felt all around the globe. Even here in Bulacan, while I was serving my 2 boys their lunch around 12:30 pm I felt a little dizzy. The boys didn’t notice, but I knew from the start it’s an earthquake, which lasted about a minute. When I tuned on the radio, the DZRH AM station is already broadcasting breaking news about the earthquake that hit Manila and northern provinces, though no official statements yet from the authorities.
Before I started writing just 10 minutes ago (about 1pm here), I checked the Inquirer website for some bits about the jolt. Then as I update the browser, related earthquake news around the globe are added in their stories. Earthquakes are simultaneously felt in Indonesia, New Delhi, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Equador, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Iran and even the US state Oregon. I hope the list won’t grow.
There’s no massive damages reported yet related to the series of earthquakes, aside from reported 3 casualties and 45 injuries in Indonesia, but I dearly pray this wide out jolt won’t cause further damages and claim more lives.
