The Saga of my DrWatson Postmortem Debugger

DrWatson Postmortem Debugger (source:http://www.volesoft.com/images/articles/drwatson-postmortem-kaput-1.jpg)I am having some problems with my laptop for some weeks now. About 3 weeks ago, my 2-year subscription to McAfee expired and I didn’t renew it anymore - a bit expensive for me now that we’re in a tight budget. So I opted to download free AVG after the man in PC warehouse told me to just try the free edition when I went there to ask how much is Norton antivirus - Php2,500 for a year, a bit cheaper compared to Mcafee, but still won’t fit our budget.

Anyways, after installing AVG, I also installed Trend Micro coz it said in the net that it was good in cleaning up those spywares and trojans. However, after installing it some pop ups kept on coming out about the adware Trend Micro found out in my system. Thinking that it was an spyware or something that I don’t really needed, I deleted the file, I forgot the name, but at least my Trend Micro stopped bugging me about it.

After the RAIN

RAIN

It’s been raining the whole day so I thought there’s another storm this morning, because the rain is heavier and skies are gloomier compared last week. But when I checked the PAGASA website, there’s no storm today, but only tail-end of a cold front. According to some oldies, this is what we call hanging amihan. Hehe, as if I know what habagat is (I know it’s a brand for mountaineering gears coz back in college I did some mountain climbing and I got a chunky Habagat beltbag that I used everyday for school and some lakads, and I still kept it after so many years but gave to my bro-in-law only a few months ago. Yeah, even if it’s more than 10 y/o, it’s still in good shape!). Anyways, I am just amazed with the old folks here in Bulacan, coz when you ask them about the weather, instantly they know when it is habagat or amihan.

Oh well, amihan explains why it’s a bit cold today and I love it, how I wish the weather here in Pinas would always be this breezy not humid and too sunny - but of course, minus the rains so that it’d just be nice to stroll under the sun. Just like the perfect weather of spring - hayy, daydreaming!

Lord, teach us to be grateful

Be thankful

I attended the mass this morning, not a TV mass, but yeah, in the church. I was just supposed to do my novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help before I go to the market, but when I got inside the church, the mass was just about to start. Since I haven’t really attended a “real” mass for quite sometime now, aside from the Sunday TV mass, I decided to do the novena later and stayed. Plus, I know the officiating priest, he was a schoolmate in highschool, just a batch ahead from me. I think he was even one of my crushes in highschool before, hehe.

Anyways, the gospel is from Luke 17:11-19, which tells of the ten lepers Jesus healed but only one of them got back to Jesus to thank him. I remembered one of Father Mario Sobrejuanite’s sermon few Sundays back, where he repeatedly said that in order for us to receive more blessings, we should always learn to say ‘thank you’.

PROUD Mommy

KayeI just got my daughter Kaye’s report card yesterday, and quite happy with her grades. In most of her subjects, the grades increased to 90. Even in Math, which I thought is her waterloo, her grade jumped from 87 to 90. She only had two grades below 90, in Sibika & Geography where she got 89 but at least better now compared to last quarter’s 86, her lowest grade last time. Though I needed to brush up more on her Science since it got lower from 88 to 87. Overall, I am quite satisfied and so proud of her. The teacher told me she already adjusted in school. She’s a transferee and lessons in her school is quite advanced compared to her former school. Good thing she’s already settled.

When we we’re still in Australia, she went to childcare together with her brother Miguel. Though they were in separate rooms, on her second year there she moved up to the kinder room. But kinder in Oz is different from what we have here in the Philippines. I think the curriculum here in the Philippines is much more advanced and difficult - tough. (more…)

BEFORE I WAS A MOM……

Incredible kidsI found this nice piece last year (can’t remember the site). This is funny but definitely details in a lighter note all the sacrifices of a mother in nurturing her children. Happy kind of tired. I hope you like this nice article…ooops, before I forget I just want to clarify that I brush my teeth everyday.hehe.

Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
