At long last, I have finished the promised prayer page for Kriztin, who is now battling with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. I also dedicate this page to other people out there who may be afflicted with other illness or experiencing life troubles. I am not being godly. I admit I am not even a devout Catholic and I don’t hear the mass regularly especially during Sundays. Though I try to read the Bible more often again, including inspirational books and life stories, and I do my own private novenas to St. Jude and Mother of Perpetual Help (which in many times I don’t finish ’til the 9th day). Nevertheless, I have strong faith in God and I always feel this special bond with Him specially during times of worries and problems. (more…)
1. Family - They are my greatest treasures. My mother’s death almost 4 years ago made me realize that losing a loved one is truly painful, and it would take a long time before you overcome the grief but not the loss. However, it made me appreciate more my family and cherish even the simplest things we share together. My kids are my existence and joys that cannot be matched with any millions. My husband, Albert, is my partner, bestfriend and soulmate - the person I have prayed for to spend the rest of my life with. And of course, my tatay (and nanay!) and my siblings (including their growing abode) - our family may not be perfect but I am quite happy and lucky to have such ‘cool’ family, through thick and thin. I may not always show and tell you, but I love you all so dearly.
