Got a Problem? No Problem - Read the Bible
Whenever I have problems, something is bothering me, or I am into some sort of sticky situations, my immediate refuge is by reading the Bible. I don’t know - maybe intuition or what - but whenever a problem is coming up, I have this feeling of uneasiness, my heart palpitates a little. So whenever I have this jittery feeling, and knowing that this is a sign of a coming blessing in disguise, I read my Bible ASAP. It gives me feeling of comfort, so by the time that the problem surfaces, I don’t feel panicky anymore.
Of course, just merely reading won’t solve any problem, but it gives this assurance that everything will be alright, and will be solved no matter what. Reading uplifting Bible verses gives me wider perspective on how to deal with any life challenges. So I wish to share with you some of my favorites verses, I hope you get comfort after reading them:
Mt 7:7-11 - Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Mt 18:19-20 - Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
Mt 21:21-22 - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
Lu 1:37 - For nothing is impossible with God.
John 16:23-24 - I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
Heb 13:5 - …Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.
Psalm 121 -
I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you—the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.Psalm 37:4-5 - Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way into the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
These verses are all beautiful, aren’t they? But of course, the most magnificent of all is the Lord’s Prayer - it’s complete. So you’ve got a problem? No problem! Read the Bible! Cheers!
