The Morning After
Kumusta ang Pasko? I hope you all had a nice Christmas celebrations yesterday. I am tempted to oversleep today, but I can’t coz the kids are already up before 7am. Hayyy, where do these kids get their high energies? Do they ever get tired? Hehe, ganito na talaga siguro if you’re entering your 30s, madaling mapagod. Plus the weather is tempting me to just go back to bed - heavy rains outside. I wish to sleep some more and doze off to dreamland. Sarap matulog pag umuulan diba?
We just finished our chat with hubby Albert, so I am a bit energized now.hehe. Our Christmas was ok, but still not complete coz Albert’s away. Yesterday me and the kids tried to attend the 11am mass, but the traffic going to the Malolos town proper was horrendous and we’re already running late (we left the house quarter past kaya talagang late na.hehe). Hay, I thought we could still attend at least half of the mass, but we reached the church just in time for the priest’s concluding rites. So we just went inside after most of the people were out and told the kids to pray. After that, we went to Greenwich for lunch because Jollibee was jampacked! Jus ko, ang kainan ng bayan, nagtaka pa ko.
Me and my sister Len already planned that we will go out to the mall yesterday so they just picked us at Greenwich and proceeded to Robinsons Starmills at Pampanga. Grabe din dami tao, but for sure not as much as SM just across the street. We just did window shopping. Ikot sa mall. Good thing, my kids are not like other kids who throw tantrums when I told them that we will not get any toys. I already bought the kids some toys, which they opened Christmas eve, plus Albert also bought them some but we’re still waiting for that to arrive via air cargo. After our mall tour,hehe, parang filmfest ha, we had a quick bite at Jollibee along NLEX Shell gas station. Then we all proceeded to my auntie’s house para magmano (blessings). We arrived home about past 8pm, so super pagod na. I tried to write last night, di na kinaya ng powers.
Now I feel the exhaustion, but I can’t help writing this blog this morning and I can’t pass this chance to thank all those people who continued to visit beautifulandhappy, especially those who took their time to comment. Special thanks to all those nice people who voted, maraming salamat! Reading your support is more fulfilling. ‘Hope you continue voting for the rest of the week, coz you can vote once a day. Thanks for all your kind words. Your messages inspire me more and encourages me to write (hopefully) better blog posts.
Beautifulandhappy is like my alter ego, my second self. My growing blog readers and friends are the most meaningful gifts I received this holidays! Again, MARAMING SALAMAT! I wish to share with you all the most beautiful Christmas poem I found:
Christmas is a time for Love
Christmas is a time for Love; a time for Joy and Peace;
A time to trim the Christmas Tree and a time to stuff the geese.
It’s a time when we can come together, however far or near;
To shed a little hope into a world of sorrow and fear.
Yet Christmas could be all year ’round, if only we would try
To gently wipe an old man’s brow or soothe a baby’s cry.
If we could smile throughout the year as we do on Christmas Day;
Just think what happiness we’d shed along life’s weary way.
To give a gift of Hope to one who otherwise has none;
To be a Friend to somebody whom everyone else has shun.
To be Forgiving of our faults, and of our sisters and our brothers;
To Live in Peace and Harmony with ourselves and with each other.
Ah, don’t you see that Christmas is more than opening up the gifts;
It’s more than singing Christmas Carols and rolling in big snow drifts.
It’s a feeling that can stay with you throughout each day, all year;
And all it takes is a loving heart…..and a sensitive little tear….
