Many people are lured to go to casinos? Like me, I signed up for the Crown Casino Club membership when I was still in Melbourne so I’d get the free red membership card (with free playing credits for my birthday - cool). But why I was drawn to visiting the Crown Casino? Was it the bright neon lights? The rolling of the dice and spinning of roulettes, or the excitement on blackjack and baccarat games? I don’t really know these games - but I went there coz I loved playing the slot machines, called pokies Downunder (and having to pay only AU$2 for fish and chips! ). (more…)

I saw this video from Andreana of dre.onewickedsoul.com (Thanks!). This is a clip from American Idol featuring a 44 yo Pinoy from Reno, Nevada. Yes, he didn’t make it to Hollywood, but I adore this guy. His costume is horrible, a mixture of 3-muskeeters/palos/Agent x44 all rolled into one. And yet, despite being funny (and the mockery he got), his voice is more decent compared to other Idol aspirants - and he sure has the Guts!!! More so, you could see in him true kindness and honesty - and humility specially when he shaked the hands of Simon after he got a no - eventually getting a hug from Simon after that.

He sang his own composition, “We’re Brothers Forever” and even though the lyrics are just simple, you can feel his emotions - probably he dedicated the song to a brother left here in the Philippines. Here’s the chorus this guy sang over and over (accompanied with an interpretative dance from Paula, and playing around of Randy and Ryan):

“I am your brother, bestfriend forever
Singing this song, the music that you like…ahhh,
The brothers til the end of time, together or not
You are always in my heart…”
