World’s oldest blogger dies

Olive Riley, considered the world’s oldest blogger, has passed away June 12 at the age of 108 in a Sydney, Australia nursing home. When I saw this news on yahoo, I immediately became interested about Olive and her two blogs, allaboutolive.com.au and worldsoldestblogger.blogspot.com. That picture above ( I got from her blog) is the one I liked most because her smile was so beautiful and contagious.
In her last blog entry dated June 26, she narrated how she sang the song Happy Days are Here Again, where she even posted part of the lyrics of the song, which goes:
Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let’s sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Isn’t Olive an inspiration to us all? Happiness doesn’t know any age - whether you’re 7 or 70 or 108 years old - we can and should always be happy! At 108, for sure she had passed through many ups and downs of life, but she preferred to see all the positive side of things - and ENJOYED HER LIFE!
I am not yet finished reading her two blogs, coz I always get the message: Due to overwhelming demand this page is currently not available… For sure, after the news of her death spread over blogosphere, thousands (or millions) fellow bloggers and internet savvy alike will be interested to know her and her life story.
Anyways, I think the other stanza of the Happy Song, which she also wrote in her last entry, truly fits her:
I want to be happy
But I can’t be happy
Till I make you happy too.
So thank you, Olive! Wherever you are, you are surely very happy coz you made us happy, too, by sharing us your life. Shouldn’t we all guys be like Olive? Like her, WE SHOULD ALWAYS STAY BEAUTIFUL AND HAPPY AND LIVE THIS LIFE TO ITS FULLEST! ![]()
