Christmas Photos

I am organizing all our digital photos, super dami na kasi! Then I decided to make a slide of some Christmas pics. I chose some pictures when we were still in Australia and some recent ones taken yesterday. This slide show features four years of our Christmas celebrations from year 2004 ’til this year. Ang bilis ng panahon, and I am amazed how my kids have grown (and me getting old, er, matured!hehe, and siksier).

Seeing those old pics again in Melbourne makes me a little sad, coz I really wanted to go back there and be with Albert again. I also missed our christmas tree, ang liit lang kasi ng christmas tree namin ngayon.hehe. (more…)

BEFORE I WAS A MOM……

Incredible kidsI found this nice piece last year (can’t remember the site). This is funny but definitely details in a lighter note all the sacrifices of a mother in nurturing her children. Happy kind of tired. I hope you like this nice article…ooops, before I forget I just want to clarify that I brush my teeth everyday.hehe.

Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Christmas is Just Around the Corner!

It is now September, start of the -BER months, and of course, start of countdown for Christmas!!! Radio stations are now playing some christmas carols, and one of the most awaited song i think, is Gary V’s “Pasko na Sinta ko” - timeless.

I remembered our first Christmas in Australia. I arrived downunder in June ahead of the kids and Albert, and they followed Dec. 13th, just barely 2 weeks before Christmas! I think that season is one of the best for me. One reason, we had our real pine tree!!! Our tatay in Melbourne, Kuya Cesar, was very fond of the kids and he just brought the tree to our house. Of course, it was our first time to have a real Christmas tree…ohh, the scent was heavenly. So our pinoy friend, mother hen James and housemates maan and nikki excitedly decorated it. The only problem was how to keep the tree from standing because it was too heavy. So we used the big plastic pot that we used for kitchen bin (washed it, of course!) and put big stones to keep the tree from falling. This was our first time to deal with decorating a real pine tree, so we didn’t know that we had to put some water on the base so that the leaves won’t wither. Ooops, we didn’t do the watering but luckily the tree still looked fresh came Christmas time. (more…)
