Must-have softwares for NPOs

I admire many nonprofit organizations or NPOs because of the good cause and worthy missions they do. There are lots of NPOs worldwide and I particularly see many nonprofit organizations on the environment.  Here in the Philippines, I particularly admire Habitat for Humanity for building quality but affordable homes for the poor. I also once had a classmate during my masters course who was working for a nonprofit organizations that provide micro-lending for the poor. (more…)

Excited for VACATION!

I had a blooper yesterday. All along, I was thinking that my BFF Chix’s flight back here to the Philippines is April 29. In our almost daily email exchanges, I thought she will come home this end of April. Yesterday, I sent her an email even inviting her to have lunch here at the house because it’s fiesta in our place and I told her I will even cook lengua with mushroom sauce for her!

Nay, in her reply, she said she got confused with my email - because her flight back is May 29, not April 29! Hehe, and not only me made the mistake, even her older brother thought she will come home yesterday.  Oh well, but the good this is, we are planning some beach getaways during her short stay here with some high school classmates. I just hope she will cover my airfare! LOLS!  If she does that, I will really pray for her to have a n exotic Fiji honeymoon vacation - ooops, I have to pray first for her to have a husband. :D

Medical Career Boom

If you ask me, the most in demand industry today in terms of career opportunities is the medical industry.  That can be seen with the big number of enrollment for nursing students in the university where I am teaching.  More so, there are also ’second-coursers’ who have already finished a different course but are now studying nursing.  Medical careers are very in demand specially abroad.

However, aside from nursing, there are also other medical areas that offers great career opportunity like ultrasound technician.  I just hope there will be an increased number of ultrasound schools that will offer ultrasound tech enough training for the job.

FEELING HOT, HOT, HOT

It’s sooooo HOT!!!! Ang init! We usually turn the airconditioner on inside our bedroom during night time, but now the kids kept whining on how hot it is. So they turned on the aircon and whew, for sure our electric bill this month will be as high as the scorching summer temperature!

I just finished making vanilla shake for the kids, and they finished their shake in a jiffy! Good thing there’s an instant vanilla powder shake already available on our local grocery. I just put some koko krunch to make the shake more yummy for the kids (and me!) Hay, during this summer, I really wish I have an everyday doze of the following treats to keep me cool (sans the sugar and calories!nyehehe):
